  10. The RCMA (Radio  Communications  Monitoring  Ass'n)  is  the
  11. world's largest scanner club.
  12.  
  13. I joined RCMA in 1983, after 18 years of  being  an  amateur
  14. radio  operator, and belonging to amateur radio clubs, never
  15. realizing there were any scanner clubs!
  16.  
  17. Founded in 1975, the RCMA prides itself on being the  "first
  18. national  and  international  organization  of monitor radio
  19. listeners." There are several regional chapters  which  hold
  20. regular  meetings,  and  a  monthly  newsletter  of about 95
  21. pages. Although the focus is on VHF and UHF ranges, there is
  22. coverage of HF utility stations below 30 MHz.
